Lonetti is a family-run Argentine manufacturer of prover tanks, test measures, and liquid calibration equipment, founded in Buenos Aires in 1960. The company exports to 47 countries across Latin America, North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. All products are custom-built, INTI-certified, and traceable to OIML R117, API MPMS, and NIST standards.

Company history

• 1960: Lonetti is founded in Buenos Aires. First sale: two 4,000-liter measures on trailers to Exxon Mobil.
• 1970s: Standard supplier to YPF — Argentina's state oil company — for prover tanks and field measures across the national fleet.
• 1990s: Begin exporting across South America. INTI partnership formalized. Lonetti products become OIML R117 / API MPMS reference standards in the region.
• 2000s: Lonetti develops the MINILAB® — a self-contained mobile calibration laboratory built into a van.
• 2010s: Exports reach 30+ countries across the Americas, Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Tanker-truck calibration tower line introduced.
• 2026: Lonetti exports to 47 countries. Still family-run, still custom-shop, engineering and manufacturing in Buenos Aires.

Standards & certifications

All Lonetti equipment is manufactured to OIML R117, OIML R120, API MPMS (Chapters 4.4 and 4.9), and NIST Handbook 105-3. Calibration certificates are issued in coordination with INTI (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial), traceable to international metrology standards. Third-party inspection by Bureau Veritas or SGS available on request.
