Overview
§1 — Workshop & laboratory meter verification

A Lonetti calibration test bench is a complete closed-loop test rig for verifying liquid flow meters — turbine, positive-displacement, electromagnetic, and Coriolis. The meter under test is plumbed into the loop; product flows from a reservoir, through the meter, into a certified reference (a prover tank or master meter), and back to the reservoir.

Each bench is engineered for the meter portfolio of the client: flow range, pipe sizes, end connections, accuracy class, and supported meter types. Common configurations support sizes from DN15 to DN100 and flows from 5 L/min to 1,200 L/min — but we have built benches for both smaller (fuel dispenser) and larger (terminal loading) ranges.

Benches ship with a documented procedure, calibration certificates for all reference standards, and the control panel necessary to run the loop unattended. Fixed and mobile configurations both supported.

Key features

6 properties that define a Lonetti test benches.

Specification points worth comparing against any other supplier — accuracy class, material grade, standards compliance, and configurability.

01

Closed-loop flow

Variable-speed pump, surge tank, return line — full flow recirculation, no waste of product.

02

Reference choice

Lonetti prover tank (gravimetric reference) or certified master meter (faster, suited for production). Both supported.

03

DN15 – DN100 standard

Standard pipe sizes from DN15 to DN100 (½″ – 4″). Larger sizes engineered on request.

04

Multi-meter support

Turbine, PD, electromagnetic, ultrasonic, and Coriolis meters — same bench, with adapter spools.

05

Control & instrumentation

PLC-based control panel with HMI, RTDs, pressure transducers, and data-logging output.

06

Fixed or mobile

Workshop installation or container-mounted mobile configuration for field meter shops.

Applications

Where Lonetti test benches go to work.

The same engineering platform serves several distinct use cases. Configuration varies; accuracy class doesn't.

01

Meter shop workshop

Permanent installation at a meter calibration workshop, verifying multiple sizes per day.

02

OEM production test

End-of-line test rig for meter manufacturers — every unit tested before shipment.

03

Field meter shop

Container-mounted mobile bench for service providers serving distributed sites.

04

Lab reference

Research or metrology institute reference bench — typically with multiple master meters.
